Talk About It Today

What will you talk about today that you've been putting off for a while?

Open your mind and eyes to what you've been worried about this past week. You have the right and the need to talk about it. Don't hope it will disappear or solve itself. Take control and responsibility in your life.

If you continue to put it off, it may be one of those things that just go away, but if not, it will continue eating at your energy and the involved relationship.

Address the problem by talking about it today. Not tommorrow. Today!

Motivation and Procrastination

Procrastination is the state of mind you are in when you have the intention to do something but you do nothing. It is evil. It is the primary reason why so many people fail with improving their relationships or any goal in general. I'm not just talking about sitting at your desk dreaming and not achieving anything. I'm talking about anything.

When procrastinating, you intend to do something but you're waiting. You want the task to happen but you lack the willingness and motivation to go do it. You are waiting for the motivation to come so you just carry on with your procrastinating and 1 hour later realise that you've achieved nothing. You then become frustrated and angry.

How do you stop procrastinating? I don't think you are going to like this but I'm going to tell you the truth. You will only do by doing. Now how powerful is that statement?

You as an Earthling have a free will. You've got the power to choose what you want. Make it your choice "to do" and act on the desire to have great relationships. Stop waiting and wishing you had better relationships. You will get the motivation to take action by doing.

This is the secret great writers use. Beginners sit infront of the computer or notepad waiting for an idea while great writers just start writing. They don't wait for the motivation or a great idea to hit them, they just get started by writing anything on paper.

To find the motivation to do, start doing!

"I Don't Need To Improve My Communication"

Whoever thinks that they do not need to improve their communication ought to be spanked by every person they have ever encountered. They should be forced to swim to antartica in some speedos or a bikini.

There is something about improving your communication skills that people see as unnecessary and stupid. They have a narrow focus of what can be learnt and what they already know.

The two prime suspects in thinking that you don't need to improve your communication is the false impression that you already communicate well and it's a stupid skill to learn. Do you honestly think you are a good communicator? I'd be happy to bet hundred dollars for each person who reads this that they are not a good communicator. I'd be filthy rich.

If you're so good at communicating, are you 99% confident in any family members' or friends' ability to talk to you about the most difficult, complex, time-consuming, scary, uncertain, and nervous topics? Errr no. It is rare in society for people to discuss what really matters. Things like sensitivity and emotional disclosure.

But guess what? You're more then this. By reading this today, it shows you have the willingness to explore communication. You know your life can be better with these learned skills. You've picked yourself off the ground after being hammered by the world's perception of "I don't need to improve my communication". Your dancing on your feet and ready to start the fight back.

All you need now is to learn the skills too build your repertoire and practice them, then you'll be primed and ready to win any communications battle.
